Similar to yesterday’s post, I’ve piled a bunch of numbers from Bart Torvik’s website to determine which teams you’ll be hearing about the most over the coming months. I’m planning on a separate post around Super Bowl weekend (roughly when more people begin caring about college hoops) about my personal favorites of the season to that point, but this is more of an objective view for now.

This post is split into two parts. The first is about D-1 men’s basketball; the second is D-1 women’s. Men’s basketball has more publicly available season-long stats, unfortunately, so the women’s section is a little underwritten in comparison. I’ve tried my best to produce a section with numbers that make sense for each; hopefully it works out.

Also, happy New Year; the next post will indeed be in 2023.
