Basketball: back. I know that you might be a little distracted by a certain other sport in town, but hey, they don’t play for another five days. Think about this in the meantime.

Tennessee gets the season rolling by drawing Cookeville’s finest university, Tennessee Tech. The Golden Eagles are…well, without being rude, we can say Tennessee has played better teams in the sport of college basketball since they’ve been in existence. That above KenPom ranking of #340 is the second-worst on Tennessee’s schedule this season, and of Tennessee’s 12 Division I teams, TTU pretty comfortably ranks last in most major metrics.

But it’s basketball, and it’s back, and that is a good thing.
