Very excited to see if Kevin Willard can use the resources at Nova to outplay his NCAA Tournament seed, something he has never done once in 15 years as a head coach.
Really great point about Bucky. I'm a huge fan of his - ever since he came to Purdue two years ago - and knew time was coming that he would leave Samford (their biggest booster knew it was coming too iirc), but the shotgun wedding analogy is so good. Oh well though. I hope he'll succeed!
Yes, hope the weather is great and the run is better!
As a Texas grad, I am amused when I see people assume that because it's Texas, the basketball programs are awash in money. (Will, you're far from the only one.) Remember this -- Texas wants to be good in basketball, not great. If they have to choose, they'll choose football over hoops every time (as they probably should). They've made a pretty good amount of money at men's hoops over the years and want to continue to do so, so they will not be funding every roster whim that Sean Miller may have.
They'll fund some of them, but probably not at a nationally competitive rate. IMO, it's why they grabbed Julian Larry and Jayson Kent from the Indiana State discount rack, hoping they'd make the jump, because they just didn't have the money in the budget.
I'm hoping Miller hits his picks and moves the program back to a seed in the mid-single digits. I just think it's far from a sure thing.
Dude, Fran melting down at Ivy League refs in a half-empty Palestra is going to be pure theater. A+ hire for the juice.

Need someone to photoshop Kevin Willard onto the Reasonable Doubt and Blueprint album covers
Great job as always and good luck in Pittsburgh
